In May 2020<\/strong>, what I thought was a bad case of tendonitis turned out to be Pleomorphic Bone Sarcoma,<\/strong> so for a few months I went though the whole ordeal: Chemotherapy<\/strong>, Radiotherapy<\/strong> and finally Surgery<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

No matter how hard they tell you chemo is, it\u2019s worse<\/strong>, it sucks! (but thanks, chemo, for saving my life).<\/p>\n

This is a Journal I started doing right after my first session of Chemo, Laugh, cry\u2026 or both\u2026it\u2019s up to you.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

BOLD Buddies Stories <\/b>is a 30-page comic that depict the cancer journeys of three survivors from the Bronx Oncology Living Daily (BOLD) program<\/b>: Ann, Rita, and Sam as well as the founding director of the program, Alyson Moadel-Robblee, PhD.<\/p>\n

Bronx Oncology Living Daily (BOLD) is a free, community-based wellness and support program for people affected by cancer in the Bronx. Launched in 2008 by Montefiore Einstein<\/b>. These stories were featured in the art exhibition A(I) Brighter Tomorrow: Cancer and\u00a0 <\/b>Beyond at The Gallery of ARTFul Medicine at Montefiore Einstein<\/b><\/p>\n

The BOLD Buddies Stories comics has been also published in full in the Annals of Internal Medicine <\/b>in June 2025. The Annals of Internal Medicine is a peer reviewed academic journal published by the American College of Physicians <\/b><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div><\/div><\/div>
