Maria grew up in Madrid<\/strong>, Spain<\/strong>, and earned a degree in Fine Arts<\/strong> from Complutense University. She lived in London<\/strong> to see more of the world. After visiting friends in New York<\/strong>, she knew it was where she had to be. So Maria and her husband, Fede, a multi-media artist, moved to New York in 2000<\/strong>. Since then, they have made\u00a0the city their home. Their family has expanded to two children<\/strong>, Lucas and Ruby, and their beloved pug<\/strong>, Blue. They could not imagine raising them anywhere else.<\/p>\n Maria has a master\u2019s degree in fashion and video photography<\/strong> from the School of Visual Arts<\/strong> in New York. Her photographs have been shown in exhibitions in galleries such as Red Hook Labs<\/strong> in Brooklyn and Fast Retailing Gallery<\/strong>. Her fashion photographs have been featured in Neo 2<\/strong>, a Spanish magazine.<\/p>\n While Maria started in fashion photography<\/strong>, she has gravitated more toward real-life photography<\/strong> because she loves working with people and hearing about their stories and their dreams.<\/p>\n Maria views her photography as an extension of life<\/strong>. It should not be staged, but a natural expression of the inner strength and beauty that she sees within every person. During the course of her career, she has developed a personal aesthetic that values simplicity<\/strong>, authentic<\/strong> moments<\/strong>, and gorgeous<\/strong> light<\/strong>. Her photographs create memories that are intended to last a lifetime<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
